We do not accept handbags without a maker. As a rule of thumb, we are looking for handbags with a minimum retail value of $200 or more.

How does consignment work?
All consignment is a 50/50 split, and we pay consignors by check. We have a 90 day sales term, and we implement a tiered discount scheduled throughout those 90 days on all items. In the event an item does not sell, consignors can pick their items back up or leave them to be further discounted or donated. Our staff researches, prices, and showcases your items within 24hrs of delivery. All consignment is done by appointment. We do not accept walk-ins or unscheduled deliveries. What items do you accept?
Couches to Curios accepts furniture, rugs, lighting, home decor, housewares, and designer handbags & accessories. We accept items that are well made and in good to excellent condition.

What if my items don't sell?
If your items don't sell within 90 days, you have 7 days to pick up unsold items. If you do not want to pick them back up, you can leave them at the store. Leaving them at the store past the agreed 97 day mark allows us to be more negotiable on price or donate your items at our discretion. You will always get paid if your items sell, even after the 97 day mark.
Do I need an appointment to consign?
Yes, all consignment is done by appointment. We do not accept walk-ins or unscheduled deliveries. We have different types of appointments for different items. To learn how to schedule an appointment for your items, please visit our "How to Consign" page.
Can I take an item off consignment early?
We do not allow early pick-up of items based on our 90-day consignor contract.
If you disagree with our pricing, then you may pick-up your items if you choose to not consign.
Do you negotiate prices?
We do not negotiate prices with customers as all items are under contract with consignors. We use a tiered price reduction schedule to discount items throughout the 90 day sales period.
Please note that all items are subject to occasional sales, and we offer a 15% off veterans' discount on full-priced items.
When will my items be processed?
Typically, all items are placed into inventory within 24hrs of delivery. You can access your inventory using your online consignor account. Your account will show the listing date as well as the expiration date of the 90 day term.
Our intake team works as efficiently as possible to make items available for sale.
Handbags generally take longer to place into inventory, but don't worry! Everything is tagged with your account number. Handbags are typically entered into inventory within 2 weeks of delivery.
Please note that the 90 day term does not begin until the item is added to our inventory and displayed for sale.
What is your seasonal acceptance schedule?
Easter & Spring: February-April
Outdoor Furniture: April-Mid June
4th of July: May-Mid June
Halloween: August-September
Thanksgiving & Fall: August-November
Christmas: October-December
Plan ahead! During these seasons, scheduling can be fully booked or booking several weeks out.
Please note holiday consignment terms expire the week after the holiday. All items must be picked up the week after that holiday or they are subject to donation.
When can I pick up my check?
All checks are ready to be picked up in the store on the 10th of each month. We do not mail local checks.

What if I forgot to pick up a check?
Checks are valid for 90 days and then they are voided. Consignor checks can be re-printed for a $5 fee.
Can you mail my checks?
We mail checks to out of town and out of state consignors. We do not mail checks to local consignors. We do not have a mailing fee deducted from each check, but we do appreciate self addressed, stamped envelopes.

Can someone else pick up my check for me?
Yes. Please email or call the store and we will make a note on your account.
How do I login to my consignor account?
To view your account online, click on the "consignor login" tab on the top of our website or visit https://couchestocurios.consignoraccess.com. Your consignor number is your username and you will set up a personal password.
First time users will received an email from us with a link to login and a temporary password. You will then be prompted to reset your password to what you would like it to be.
After changing your password, you will be able to view all of your inventory, it's status, and your account balance.

Will you contact me when my items have sold?
We do not notify consignors when items sell, expire, or are donated as our software does not allow us a way to do this for our over 9,000 consignors. To keep track of your items, please log into your consignment account. You may also call the store to ask for an update on your items.
